Flexible denture no metal, no compromise
Valplast flexible dentures offer the most discreet partial denture solution — lightweight, comfortable, and virtually invisible. No metal clasps. No bulky acrylic. Just a natural-looking smile.
WHAT ARE FLEXIBLE PARTIAL DENTURES
Discreet, comfortable and natural-looking
Flexible dentures, most commonly made from Valplast thermoplastic resin, are a premium alternative to traditional acrylic or metal partial dentures. The material is flexible, lightweight and semi-translucent — meaning it blends naturally with the colour of your gum tissue for a virtually invisible result.
Unlike conventional partials, Valplast flexible dentures have no metal clasps. The denture is retained in the mouth by flexible clasps that grip the teeth using the natural contour of the gum — making them significantly more aesthetic than both acrylic and chrome cobalt alternatives.
Why valplast? Valplast is one of the most widely used flexible denture materials in the world, trusted for its biocompatibility, durability and natural appearance. It contains no BPA, metal or acrylic allergens.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Who are flexible dentures right for?
Flexible dentures are a great fit for patients who want the most discreet, comfortable partial denture available.
Aesthetics-first patients
If you want a partial denture that nobody can see, Valplast is the most discreet option available.
Patients with metal or acrylic allergies
Valplast is completely free of metal and acrylic components — ideal for allergic or sensitive patients.
Public-facing professionals
Actors, teachers, presenters and others who speak or smile publicly often prefer the invisible look of flexible dentures.
Comfort-seeking patients
The soft, flexible material is much more comfortable than rigid alternatives, especially for sensitive gums.
Patients replacing 1–4 teeth
Flexible dentures work best for patients replacing a moderate number of teeth.
Patients wanting something different
If you've tried conventional partials and found them uncomfortable or obvious, flexible dentures may be the solution.
Not sure if this is right for you?
Flexible dentures have some limitations. They cannot be easily adjusted or repaired, and are not always suitable for all mouth types. Book a consultation and we'll confirm whether Valplast is the right option for your specific situation.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most from patients considering Valplast flexible dentures. Can’t find your answer? Give us a call.
-
Valplast requires specialist repair equipment and cannot be repaired in the same way as acrylic. Minor repairs are possible through the Valplast repair system, but significant damage may require a replacement. This is a key consideration when choosing between flexible and acrylic partials.
-
Remove your denture after meals, rinse with water, and brush gently with a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid regular toothpaste — it can scratch the surface. Soak in a Valplast-compatible cleaning solution — not bleach or hot water, which can damage the material.
-
In most cases, no. The semi-translucent gum-coloured material blends with the natural appearance of your gum tissue, and the absence of metal clasps means there is very little visual evidence of the denture.
-
Metal partials typically offer more stability due to their rigid framework. Flexible dentures are very comfortable and secure for most patients but may feel slightly less stable under heavy chewing loads.
-
With proper care, Valplast flexible dentures typically last 3–7 years. The lifespan depends on usage, care habits, and changes in your oral anatomy over time.
